Commitment & Materials

A more mindful approach to Nature, People and Product

Nature

Waste reduction, reducing carbon footprint, providing sustainable packaging, committing to ethical work practices, and respecting human rights.

People

At Alse Studio, we see sustainability as a baseline. We view sustainability as making products that are better for the environment and better for you.

Product

We're working hard to use sustainably produced materials when possible, like our BCI Cotton, Recycle Cotton and Recycle Polyester.

Sustainable Production

Sustainability is a journey – not a destination. We need to keep learning, researching asking and challenging.

As Alse studio, we take care to ensure that our products are climate pledge certified and as carbon neutral. Our collection is predominantly as part of the climate pledge friendly program and is certified carbon neutral.

• Contributes to 8 different SDGs!
• Purchased 5,267kg of offsets within this project.

BCI Certified Cotton

Our BCI cotton (in woven and yarn forms) is made overseas by our partner mills. It has passed strict ecological and social criteria that is backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. BCI cotton is made from natural fibers, doesn't use pesticides or chemicals, and is biodegradable. We use BCI cotton on our products.

Farmers are trained to use water more efficiently.. .. to reduce use of the most harmful chemicals...
... and to create opportunities to work with freedom, equity, security and dignity In doing so, yields and profits for those farmers are increased

Recycled Packing

We`re eliminating all virgin plastic throughout our packaging and all our packaging will be 100% recycle by the end of the year. We use as little packaging as possible while keeping your order safe since less packaging also equals less waste.

Recycled Polyester

Recycled materials, like our recycled polyester, divert trash from landfills and help give our waste a new life. Recycled polyester garments have all the benefits of using virgin polyester (durability, ease of care, and design benefits), without using new resources that have harmful effects on our planet.

Recycled Cotton

Recycled cotton prevents additional textile waste and requires far fewer resources than conventional or organic cotton. This makes it a great sustainable option.Cotton can be recycled using old garments or textile leftovers. The quality of the cotton may be lower than of new cotton. Recycled cotton is therefore usually blended with new cotton. The production of recycled cotton is still very limited.

Eco Friendly Printed

Eco-friendly printing has found a nonpolluting alternative in eco-inks. These inks use organic ingredients like soy or vegetable in their production. Soy-based ink, in particular, is a fantastic alternative that replicates the effects of petroleum-based inks but without the toxic side effects on the environment.

Ethical Manufacturing

When we say we create safe, comfortable, and fair working environments, it applies far beyond our headquarters. Everyone in our supply chain—farmers, garment workers, and recyclers—must be treated with respect, and must make responsible choices when it comes to carbon emissions, water use, and chemical use.s
